Pheasant, Quail and Chukar Hunting at R & R Elk Ranch

 

Hunting Season September 1st to April 30th

Upland bird hunting fields at R & R Elk Ranch range from 10 to 50 acres in size, with over 150 acres of total hunting area. The field cover varies from natural grasses, row crops, and sorghum. Shot size for pheasant hunting will be limited for safety reasons, to 2-3/4 number six shot. Indiana Orange Hunting Regulations apply at our preserve.

Minimum five birds set per hunter. All releases are 50/50 cocks & hens. No charge on birds shot over the number of birds released. Overnight accommodations available with reservation. Reservations are limited to quantity of birds available.

Youth hunters 16 yrs and younger hunt free with paid adult.

Hunting Hours: 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Snacks and beverages available. Lunches available by reservation.

Bird cleaning available - $2 per bird.
Dog running $25 1/2 day. No firearms permitted.
Guide and dogs available $15 per person.
Non-packaged clients welcome @ $15 per bird with packaged clients
